Anonymous community forecasts
Your browser creates a random identifier. The voting service stores a keyed hash of that identifier so one browser can keep one changeable choice per open round. It does not create a user profile. A separate short-lived keyed network hash supports rate limiting; raw browser IDs and IP addresses are not stored in the vote tables.
What D1 and Git each retain
Cloudflare D1 holds the active round and anonymous vote hashes. When a round closes, its counts, percentages, close time and actual outcome are exported as an immutable aggregate in Git. Closed-round identity hashes are scheduled for deletion after 30 days; the non-identifying aggregate remains as public history.
X embeds are opt-in
ResetWire shows its own attributed summary and an original-source link first. X profile or Post widgets load only after you click the relevant control. At that point your browser connects to X and X’s policies apply. ResetWire does not scrape profile timelines.
Editorial records and hosting
Public source summaries, forecast revisions, corrections and closed aggregates live in the versioned repository. The hosting and security layers may process ordinary request metadata needed to serve and protect the site. ResetWire currently has no advertising, analytics, affiliate tracking or email subscription system.
